PD501: Conflict Resolution Using current issues this course will examine conflict and conflict resolution. Conflict may include: social dilemmas (such as nuclear arms, global warming, overpopulation, and natural resource depletion); competition (Tragedy of the Commons); misperception (mirror-image perceptions). After learning about conflict the student will be guided through conflict resolution. Conflict resolution can include several techniques such as the 4 C’s contact, cooperation, communication and conciliation (jigsaw technique & GRIT explained).
